Not only easy to use, Autopano Giga is also at the cutting edge of technology: exclusive color and exposure correction system, ghost remover, detection engine based on SIFT technology, real-time panorama editor, stitching up to several thousand images to create panoramas that have a resolution of several gigapixels. Autopano Giga is dedicated both to the general public and to specialists. It can be applied to a multitude of fields, including photography, real estate, architecture, tourism, cartography, cinema... but you can also use it just as a personnal hobbie.
Detection engine: Kolor Autopano Synapse
Autopano Giga 2.5 has a new Synapse detection engine, fully multi-threaded for an impressive speed of detection, especially for the stitching of several dozens or hundreds of images. This feature was checked and validated by our partner Intel.
Optimization engine: Kolor Autopano Neurone
After the detection, the new Neurone optimization engine takes the results of the Synapse and applies on it the exclusive Autopano algorithms, especially the automatic color and exposure correction, for perfectly homogeneous panoramas, without seams.
The rendering engine: Kolor Autopano Cortex
The final stage in the creation of a panorama is what we call the rendering: the creation of the final panorama in full resolution into the desired format. The Cortex rendering engine integrates an enormous range of new features, especially a better correction of the moving objects, the HDR integrated support, a better use of the available processing power, an many new parameters.
Google Maps in your virtual tours
Place the different views of your virtual tour on an embedded Google Map. If your panoramas include GPS data, they will be automatically placed on the map. If they don't contain GPS data, you can spot their location easily by typing the location name like on Google Maps website or by filling in their GPS coordinates. What's more, you can add a radar on the map and even customize the map's hotspots with a proper icon or image. Full customization of this plugin is possible through XML editing.
Export for iPhone®/iPad®
Panotour Pro also allows you to export your virtual tours in a format compatible with the iPhone® and iPad® mobile devices, which do not support Flash®. Tours exported to the iPhone®/iPad® format include most of the features available in Panotour Pro, including embedding a map, a logo, the hotspots for navigating between views, displaying thumbnails etc.

Attention: the virtual tours for iPhone®/iPad® are meant to be displayed online, as these devices do not permit an easy storage of local files.
Mouse, buttons, menus, maps and miniatures: plenty of ways to navigate
The experience that your virtual tours allow your visitors to have is paramount. By using different navigation options, you can offer innovative ways to tour the location. Navigation and mouse zooms, navigational buttons, drop-down menus, tour map with embedded hotspots or even thumbnails of the other available views etc. Panotour Pro allows you to offer visitors a unique and rich experience they will long remember.
Mix giant images (gigapixels) and 360° virtual tours
Panotour Pro is the only software that allows you to edit interactions in gigapixel panoramas, visually and without having to resort to programming. Specifically, you can add hotspots and create any type of interaction. You can also link giant images to 360° virtual tours. For example: for a city tour, take the visitor to the giant panorama in which he can zoom in and see details of the buildings, and allow him to click on the streets or buildings to enter into immersive virtual tours.
Easy interactions using hotspots
Hotspots are areas that allow you to create interactions in a virtual tour. With hotspots, it’s possible to create links between shots, display a photo, video or embedded web page, play a sound, open an external website, display contextual information and animations and more. Hotspots will be especially useful in customizing your virtual tours. With Panotour Pro, you have access to several types of hotspots (polygonal, rectangular, pinpoint) adapted for each type of interaction.
Embed videos that adapt to the 3D view
Create rich and vibrant virtual tours by integrating videos directly into your tours. There are two ways to display a video: either by opening it when clicking on a hotspot, or by embedding it directly into the image of the virtual tour. For example: a flat screen hangs on the wall of a hotel room. Draw a hotspot covering the screen and select a video file. The video will launch automatically when the visitor arrives in the room and it will skew in 3D based on the movements made in the room.
Add background music
To enhance the tour, Panotour Pro lets you add an overall background sound that plays automatically, but also built-in sounds that are activated by clicking on a hotspot. Thus, for a tour of a museum, for example, you can have a light background music and the playing of recorded sounds (description of a painting, a guided tour) that the visitors can launch as they wish.
“Little planet” intro zoom-in effect
Impress the visitors from the very start of the tour by activating the “little planet” effect. It will display your virtual tour as a planet that unfolds in seconds to reach the standard view for navigating the tour. This gives the feeling of a total immersion in the place visited.
Exporting and importing cube faces
Panotour Pro lets you easily edit your 360° x 180° images in a third-party software by exporting the 6 cube faces and then letting you import them back after touching them up to recompose them. This allows you to easily edit the nadir (ground photo) or make other adjustments you feel necessary.
Dynamic loading of the areas to display (multi-resolution)
The uploading and viewing of very large high definition panoramas and virtual tours is no problem. If you export such images, Panotour Pro will break them into thousands of little pieces that are loaded dynamically according to the display area or in which the user wants to zoom. The image of Paris 26 gigapixels (click the image to open in new window) is thus divided into 50,000 small images loaded on demand.
Automatic inclusion in HTML templates
Panotour Pro lets you automatically include virtual tours in HTML templates. Create a webpage template for your site and add it to Panotour Pro. Exporting the tour will automatically generate an HTML file based on your template, directly displaying the virtual tour.
Quick conversion to Flash® format
Just want to convert panoramas to Flash® without creating interactions? Activate the “Quick export” pane and drag your images to it. The corresponding .SWF files are instantly created.
